April Book Round-Up

So, spring is here, or at least I keep telling myself that as I sip my morning coffee and watch the snow fall outside my window! Blech!!!!! The ground is white with the S%^&,err I mean fluffy stuff. I find myself going back to Saturday when it was sunny and warm enough to have one or two windows open, and to don my beloved flip flops. This morning I'll be scraping the windshield.
That's April in my neck of the woods I'm afraid. We typically hunt Easter eggs in the snow, and those beautiful pastel colored dresses for little girls are typically worn beneath snow boots and a winter coat. Booooo!!!
But April also means, daffodils (bought a couple of bunches this w/e) and their yellow cheeriness instantly lit up the house. April also means that I will have a bit of time to read for pleasure. I do have deadlines, but if I stick with my daily word count, the deadlines should allow me some free time for reading.
These are the books I've picked this month!!!!!

Sins of a Wicked Duke, Sophie Jordan. Well, I love Sophie's writing, and I've had this book for about a week now. I'm going to start it today. It's a historical and I'm chomping to get back to a good historical.

Larrissa Ione's Desire Unleashed, I love her Demonica series, and can't wait to read this one!!! Sexy and hot and dangerous!

And last but most certainly not least is JR Ward's Lover Avenged. I cannot tell you how much I'm eagerly awaiting this book. I have a bit of a problem with the brothers if you know what I'm sayin'. You thought Lindsay had a problem with opium, yeah, well that's me with the brothers. I luuuuuuv them. I think Rhage, V and Phury are my favs, but I'm anxious to read Rehv's story. He's sexy and bad, and I like those combinations!!!!! I'm also hoping for a bit more romance in this book than the last two she wrote. I'm a sucker for those early books when the romance was really the focus.
So, what books or book are you anxiously waiting for, or reading? Or, a you possibly doing a re-read? Enquiring minds want to know, and possibly my TBR pile!!
Happy Monday!

Hi Cindy! Thanks for stopping by.
I have Hard and Fast in my TBR pile, and am looking forward to it. I've read some great reviews about it. Never read anything by Erin McCarthy before! Now, to Beuguile A Beast, that's on my wish list currently. Depending on reading time, I might buy it this month.

And thanks for picking up Addicted. I hope you enjoy it!

I have lots of books I'm waiting for. I never know what I'm going to read next. Whatever strikes my fancy. After looking at Cindy's list, I see I missed a book...Under Fire. I really liked the first in Jo Davis's Firefighter series. I really want to read Daring Time! It looks good :).

I do have Fantasy Lover I need to reread soon for this new book group. I don't think I'll mind rereading that one. I remember it being rather fun.

I hope you get some good reading in this month, Charlotte.

Great picks. I'm lovin' the Sophie Jordan book, it looks like a good one. My TBR is just so back up right now. But the worst part is I want to read them all!!

Eventually...

The count down is seriously on for Lover Avenged!! I can't wait!!

What I wouldn't give for a good read, abalmy warm breeze and a hammock under the shade of a palm tree! Thats my idea of "escape" from these dreay winters storms that seem to blow through lately. We had one here yesterday *sigh

No more! The robins are terribly confused! LOL

Im hoping to snatch some time to read this month. I have The Club (Sharon Page) and For the Love of Pete,(Julia Harper) waiting in the wings and a book called The Shack (Wm. Paul Young) as well as a slew of research books on the Preraphelite brotherhood and company! Coming up mid month is the Romantic Times Booklovers convention with its huge booksiging-I usually take a few minutes from my spot at the table and satisfy my craving to read.

So many books, so little time !

I am reading Cry Wolf by Patricia Briggs.. almost done with that. My TBR pile is getting bigger and bigger every weekend that passes me. I am currently waiting for Passion Unleashed... but in order to read that one, I have to buy the first two now. Then I have a whole bunch TBR and TBB books to mention... funny how there is never enough hours in the day to read!
Love, hugz and smiles! Cecile

Cecile, I like to say that my TBR shelf is 'morbidly obese' lol!
I have books in there that I forgot I had, and books I was DYING to read, but then didn't, or couldn't. This summer, deadlines should be drastically reduced, so I'm looking forward to just chilling with some rum drinks.
Oh, I'm logged in as Sophie, hope nobody minds, this is me being lazy as heck, and not wanting to sign out, and then sign back in under Charlotte. I gotta do the combo name thing! lol!

Yea... if only my cheekbook were as big as my TBR pile I would be doing great, lol!!!

Rum drinks and books sound great. Did you see my blog... can't help myself!
